Ilford Cricket Club Win the Essex Sir Alistair Cook U14 T20 Cup
Ilford CC won the Essex Sir Alistair Cook Under 14 T20 Cup, beating Brentwood CC in the final at Maldon Cricket Club on Bank Holiday Monday.
Earlier in the day in the Semi Final, Ilford CC beat Wanstead & Snaresbrook CC by 23 runs. Ilford CC 152/3 (20 overs), Wanstead – 129/5 in their 20 overs.
In the final, Ilford CC beat Brentwood CC by 9 wickets – Brentwood scored 126/4 in their 20 overs and Ilford chased down the total and won by 9 wickets. Ilford’s Uzair Khan was adjudged the Man of the Match for his unbeaten 89 runs in 52 balls. This is the first time Ilford have won the Sir Alistair Cook U14 Cup.
All the games were played in good spirit with lots of support for all the teams.
