Round Up Of the first week of the league season!!

Good Start by the 2's and 3's, but the 1's falling just short in an enthralling game!!

1st XI :

Wanstead batted first scoring a mammoth 296 in their alloted 50 overs in which Adnan Akram scored 64, and Matthew Smith scored 51. Sibet Hussain was the pick of the bowlers for the Ilford team picking up 4-50 in his 10 overs.

In reply, notable performances included a century for Gurdeep Kandola, a swift 48 for the overseas player, Adeel Malik, and a respectable 53 for Modassar Ibrahim. Ilford fell slightly short and finished on 291.

2nd XI:
The 2's batted first getting 244 on the board with the loss of 7 wickets, and declared after 44.3 overs. Notable performances included brilliant 50s by both Gagan Bhogal and Sheriyrar Aslam as they both got out in the 60s and assisted by a quickfire 48 by Harminder Sagoo. Turnball took 5 wickets for Hutton

In reply, Hutton could on;ly manage 117 and were bowled out with Captain Azhar Nawaz claimed 3 wickets, and Sheriyar Aslam claiming 4 wickets. Tash Imtiaz also bowled very well to restrict the Hutton team and broke the back bone of their batting.

3rd XI:
3's batted first managing 202 in 52 overs, a good team performance. This was then followed by the bowling out of the chingford team for 110.
